It's Time to Improve Your Health, this is the Year

Each year thousands of people purchase gym memberships, start new diets, kick old habits, and start their journey toward a better health in the month of January. These are all great ideas but a lot of them never stick. Has this been you in the past? What tends to make you quit or put it on the back burner?

We want to make this year stick and reap the benefits of becoming a happier and healthier you! To do that we want you to make a list of motivators to help remind you why it’s important to keep on top of your health. Some examples can be:

1.)   You aren’t happy with how you currently feel or see yourself.

2.)   Low energy or minimal capacity to do daily activities.

3.)   Your health conditions are controlling your life.

4.)   You’re never satiated.

5.)   Extra weight is detrimental to your health

Remember, healthy changes take a while to become a routine. Push through the first 6 weeks and it will get easier. Diet should be your first priority because you are what you eat, and exercise will NOT help you lose weight unless you’re a male under the age of 30. Fuel your body with the proper nutrients to encourage your healthy changes.

Here are some helpful tips to making those new habits stick:

1.)  Be confident and positive with the changes you are making.

2.)  Follow through with your goals by planning and doing the work to make it happen. You can do this by making a calendar or agenda to keep you accountable.

3.)  Track your progress daily to encourage follow through. Seeing the effort everyday will help you stay dedicated toward reaching your goals.

4.)  Surround yourself with good support and motivating people.

5.)  Make yourself a priority.

6.)  Don’t make excuses.

Are you ready to continue these changes in your life? There is no better time than now, because tomorrow may never come.
